Within the framework of objectives of the international programme CampusÁFRICA, and in order to boost the scientific and sociocultural leadership of younger African generations, the Canary Islands Foundation for the Control of Tropical Diseases (FUNCCET), in collaboration with the University Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands and the Centre for African Studies of the University of La Laguna (Tenerife), will offer twenty scholarships.

Two types of scholarships are expected to be offered:

  • Ten scholarships for graduate candidates with a degree in Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary medicine or similar qualifications.
  • Ten scholarships for graduate candidates with a degree in social or human sciences.

The candidates eligible for the scholarship must comply with the following requirements:

  • Be a national citizen of an African country and have permanent residence in Africa.
  • Be under 35 years of age at the time of application.
  • Good command of the English language. An adequate command of the Spanish language will also be valued.

Each scholarship will cover travel, board and lodging expenses.
